General Information
The City of Wenatchee’s Arts Commission consists of a group of volunteers who reside within the City limits. This Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the Wenatchee City Council and is supported part-time by the Museum department staff.

Funding for public art projects and arts programs is generated from the 1%-for-Art Fund. The fund receives monies from capital improvement projects undertaken by the City of Wenatchee that cost more than $75,000. One percent of those funds is then transferred to the art fund. Monies distributed to arts programs include the Community Art Support Grant Program.

The Commission recommends artists for projects or programming for art to the City Council for final approval. The Commission also oversees the City’s large art collection of sculpture, wall art and permanent site-specific installations.
