Welcome to the City of Wenatchee's Fire Department

The City of Wenatchee's Fire and Rescue Department has 36 full-time employees and two fully-staffed stations. Both the main station at 136 South Chelan Avenue (Station 41) and the second station at 1420 Maple Street (Station 42) operate with at least a three-man engine company at all times.  A Battalion Chief is also on duty at all times and responds from Station 41.

The Fire and Rescue Operations Division has 30 personnel working three shifts of ten team members that provide the community with a range of emergency services, including:

• Fire suppression 
• Emergency medical services (EMS) 
• Hazardous materials response (including decontamination and oil spills)
• Technical rescue response (motor vehicle extrication, water and rope rescue)

The department also provides automatic and mutual aid beyond the City boundaries into Chelan and Douglas Counties.

Non-emergency services include programs such as: 

• Annual building and life safety inspections for City businesses
• Annual hydrant maintenance 
• Fire investigation services for the local area and region

The City's Fire and Rescue Department offers a wide variety of public information and education programs that can be delivered in both English and Spanish.
