The Wenatchee Valley Stormwater Technical Advisory Committee (WVSTAC) was formed in January 2004 through a memorandum of understanding between Chelan County, Douglas County, the City of East Wenatchee and the City of Wenatchee. The goal of this committee is to develop a regional stormwater program and meet the requirements of the Eastern Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit.

Eastern Washington Draft Municipal Stormwater Permit - 2012 Reissuance
On October 19, 2011 Ecology released the Eastern Washington Draft Municipal Stormwater Permit (2nd permit cycle) for a 3 ½ month-long public comment period. The Public Comment period closed on February 3, 2012. Ecology received comments from at least 180 entities and individual, as well as group emails, petitions, and form letters from several thousand citizens. Ecology will consider these public comments as it revises the permits. Ecology plans to issue the final permits in June 2012 with a Summary of and Response to Comments.
The Draft Permit and associated “Fact Sheet” are available for review on Ecology’s web-site.

Regional Stormwater Program
The Wenatchee Valley Stormwater Management Program was adopted in 2008 and revised in 2011. The program was jointly developed by the four jurisdictions and HDR Engineering, Inc. The program will be reviewed and updated each year as new elements are developed in accordance with the municipal stormwater permit. Please use our online feedback form to provide suggestions or comments on the local stormwater program.
