The City of Wenatchee has formed an Affordable Housing Task Force to guide the exploration of potential programs and strategies to preserve and create affordable housing for all residents of our community. The Task Force consists of community stakeholders, including private and public developers, citizen advocates, landlords, public representatives, and lenders.
Task Force Mission:
To provide the Mayor and City Council with guidance regarding policies for the development and preservation of affordable housing, beginning with the strategies identified in the Affordable Housing Action Plan memo dated July 14, 2008.
For additional background information, visit the Affordable Housing webpage.
Task force meetings are held in the Council Chambers at the Wenatchee City Hall, 129 South Chelan Avenue. Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings, but are not participants in the Task Force deliberations. Time is provided for public comment at the beginning of each meeting. If necessary, comments will be held to a maximum of three minutes in length. Written comments from members of the public are welcome throughout the term of the Task Force.
