Public Facilities District
The Greater Wenatchee Regional Events Center Public Facilities District (PFD) was created in June 2006 through an Interlocal agreement between Chelan and Douglas Counties, the Cities of Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Chelan, Cashmere, Entiat, and Rock Island, and the Town of Waterville. Public Facilities Districts are formed for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, maintaining and financing regional centers.
The Public Facilities District receives a 0.033% regional sales tax rebate from the State of Washington. For example, for every $1,000 in state sales tax collected, $0.33 is returned to our community through the PFD. The PFD has been receiving this tax rebate since September 2006, and will continue to do so until 2031.

PFD Board Members
The Public Facilities District Board of Directors includes seven members, and appointments are staggered as follows: Chelan and Douglas Counties, and the City of East Wenatchee each appoint one member and the City of Wenatchee appoints four.
