A Transportation Benefit District (TBD) is a quasi-municipal corporation and independent taxing district created for the sole purpose of funding transportation improvements within the district. A TBD is created by ordinance of legislative authority (county or city) and may include other counties, cities, port districts, or transit districts through interlocal agreements.
At the January 26, 2012, Board Meeting, after conducting a public hearing, the TBD Board adopted Ordinance No. 2012-TBD-02 enacting a $20 vehicle registration fee per vehicle as provided for by RCW 82.80.140.

Regular Board meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at the conclusion of the Wenatchee City Council meeting which commences at 5:15 p.m. at the City Hall of the City of Wenatchee, 129 South Chelan Avenue, Wenatchee, Washington.
