2012-2018 Parks, Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan
The purpose of the plan is to provide guidance in the acquisition, development and improvement of park areas and facilities and the provision of recreation services. The City is required to have an adopted plan to be eligible for a variety of grant opportunities.

Saddle Rock Trailhead and Trail Plan
Click here to download a copy of the Saddle Rock Trailhead concept plan prepared by Project Ground Work and the Chelan Douglas Land Trust. With approval, submittal of a grant application to construct the project is anticipated for 2012. If funding is received, the project could be constructed in 2013.
Conservation Finance Feasibility Study
In October 2010, the City and Trust for Public Lands (TPL) entered into an agreement to complete a feasibility study to explore conservation financing options for parks and open space areas. The study was funded by the TPL. Click here to download the final draft of the document.

Paddlers Point Project
COMING SOON In May 2010, the City and the Wenatchee Row and Paddle Club (WRPC) entered into an agreement to explore pedestrian and vehicular circulation and other uses in the vicinity of the parking area at Chelan County PUD's Linden Tree Park at the end of 9th Street. The project is funded by the WRPC and is anticipated to be completed by January 2012. Project updates will be posted here as they become available.
Community Forestry Plan
In 2008, the City received a grant from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources to complete an inventory and analysis of City owned trees and prepare a community forestry plan. Click here to download a copy of the draft plan document.
