Recreation Leaders
Recreation Leaders help conduct recreation programs and events. We are always accepting applications for positive, enthusiastic and energetic people that like working with people. The majority of temporary hours available throughout the year are during evenings and weekends. Daytime hours are available more regularly in the summer months.

Student Internships
Student Intern positions are available in the Parks and Recreation Department for college students currently enrolled in recreation, leisure studies or a similar discipline. Please click here to download our 2013 Student Intern Program Brochure.
Aquatic Positions
The City of Wenatchee hires between 15 to 20 temporary lifeguards, a Pool Manager and cashiers to staff the City pool during the summer months. Lifeguards must have current lifeguard, first aid and CPR certifications, with special consideration given to certified Water Safety Instructors. Additional Aquatic Facility Operators certification is desired for the Pool Manager position. Applications must be submitted no later than April 1st to ensure consideration for a position. Volunteer Positions
There are various volunteer opportunities within the Parks and Recreation Department throughout the year. Volunteers must be able to pass a standard Washington State Patrol background check. Please contact the Parks and Recreation Department to learn about current volunteer opportunities.
