The first phase of construction of the gateway is scheduled for completion in 2017.  Construction funding is being provided by the Chelan Douglas Land Trust, a Lowes Foundation grant and a State Recreation Conservation Funding Board grant. 

The 4.68 acre site was acquired in 2015 and will feature, shade structures, outdoor seating, interpretive signs, restrooms and improved parking and access to Saddle Rock.
