Notice of Public Hearing and Issuance of a Determination of Non-Significance

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wenatchee City Council will hold a public hearing on August 22, 2019 at 5:15 PM in the Council Chambers of Wenatchee City Hall, 301 Yakima St, 2nd Floor, Wenatchee, WA 98801 to consider entering into a development agreement with WA Mission & Kittitas Apartments, LLC for property located between Kittitas and Yakima Streets on S. Mission St.  The agreement includes:

• The execution of a development agreement for a maximum of 250 residential units and 10,000 SF of commercial space in a five over-two structure.  
• The agreement addresses all related city permits, the City-Weidner Purchase and Sale Agreement, and the City-Weidner lease. 
• The future sale of the property from the City to WA Mission & Kittitas Apartments, LLC which is not exempt from environmental review pursuant to WAC 197-11-800(5) b and c.
• The property is further described as Chelan County Assessor Parcel Nos. 222010590350 and 222010590378 (not owned by the city).

The public is invited to attend the public hearing and comment on all pertinent matters. 

The City of Wenatchee has determined the proposed development agreement will not have a probable significant adverse impacts on the environment and issued a determination of non-significance (DNS) in compliance with RCW 43.21C and WAC 197-11-340 on August 7, 2019.  The City will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date of issuance of the DNS.  

Comments on the development agreement and SEPA threshold determination are due no later close of business on August 21, 2019 and should be addressed to

Complete information and copies of the agreement and associated documents may be reviewed at City Hall located on the 3rd Floor of 301 Yakima St. during normal business hours or by calling 509-888-3203. To view the draft amendments on the internet navigate to the City of Wenatchee website:  www.wenatcheewa.gov. Select “How Do I…”, link then select “Apply for permits”, then “Public Notices”.  In the search bar, type    ”SEPA-19-05”.Persons without internet access should contact their local library branch or college for internet access.
