Housing Code Update

Post Date:08/07/2019 9:30 AM
In an effort to plan for the future of housing in the area, the City of Wenatchee has been reviewing its land use rules and regulations as they pertain to housing. The City teamed up with Makers Architecture and Urban Design, an award winning architectural and urban design firm, and analytics firm Community Attributes Inc, to find solutions, identify economic opportunities, and to revise the land use rules and regulations on housing.

A draft set of code amendments is now available and the City is looking for your comments on the proposed “Housing Code” which includes amendments to Title 10 Zoning and Title 11 Subdivisions in the Wenatchee City Code, and the adoption by reference of a new document called the Wenatchee Residential Development Guidelines. The comment period ends October 2, 2019. Please email comments to mparsons@wenatcheewa.gov. The project website can be found here. The public is also invited to attend an open house about this project on August 21, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the City Council Chambers at 301 Yakima Ave, 2nd Floor in Wenatchee.
