Reimagine Wenatchee Master Plan
About:
The City of Wenatchee has engaged a consultant to develop the Reimagine Wenatchee Master Plan for the enhancement and redevelopment of the waterfront, downtown and warehouse district (Target Area).
The timing of the study and conversations are critical; the Target Area will change significantly in the coming years due to a variety of pending “Cornerstone” projects. Downtown and business stakeholders urged the City to begin a process to establish a new vision and master plan identifying strategic investments with special attention to implementation.
The Reimagine Wenatchee Master Plan will identify improvement opportunity areas, identify a prioritization list for these improvements, and ensure consistency with community visioning efforts. The overall goal is to increase economic vitality and enable a vibrant and sustainable live, work, and play environment.
Target Area Map: The Target Area for the analysis extends from Kittitas Street to 5th Street, and Chelan Street to the Columbia River.

Cornerstone Projects:
- Warehouse District along Columbia Street: Historic warehouse district with underutilized and vacant spaces owned by private and public entities including the Chelan-Douglas Regional Port Authority. This district has tremendous opportunity due to the building stock and proximity to downtown and the waterfront.
- Mission/Kittitas Development: A private/public partnership for a new multifamily development that will bring 200 multifamily units with two levels of underground parking to South Wenatchee.
