Home MenuEast Bank Well 3 Improvements
Why is the City doing this Project?
As part of the ongoing well rehabilitation program, the City will be replacing the well pump and motor used in well 3 as they are reaching the end of their useful lives. The pump motor is a 1980 era Westinghouse rated for 1,000 horsepower with the pump supplying up to 9,700 gpm. The work is necessary to maintain a consistent water supply to the Cities of Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, and the Chelan County PUD.
What will the Project include?
The project will include a new pump, pump motor, and air conditioning upgrades in the sodium hypochlorite disinfection room.
What to expect
The project is set to kick off construction in Summer 2027. The working hours are set to be 8:00am - 5:00pm. There are no planned road closures or water shut offs in the area.
