Temporary Changes to the CHG Guidelines for Grantees (Effective Immediately)
- Eligibility Recertification for all Housing Assistance Programs (see table below) is suspended until further notice. At the 90 re-certification date please make a note on a blank Verification of Household Eligibility and Income Re-certification Form: "Not completed due to COVID-19 Outbreak" and place it in the client's file. See attached for sample form you can use.
- Targeted Prevention Screening Tool use has been suspended. For all Homeless Prevention Rent Assistance Providers, please file an empty form in HMIS and in the client file and note "Not completed due to COVID-19 Outbreak". See attached for sample form you can use.
- Flexible Funds cap has been removed by Commerce. Localities can now spend more than $1,500 to assist a household. If you have a diversion situation and would like to use flexible funds please contact the CHN hotline, 509-888-9035 or email me directly.
There may be additional announcements from Commerce in the coming days. We'll share them with you ASAP.
CE Sites - Alternative Coordinated Entry Procedures
To all grantees offering coordinated entry services as part of the Community Housing Network:
If your agency is conducting CE interviews over the phone, and you don't have access to HMIS, you may record CE enrollments on paper forms with data-entry delayed to a later date. All completed materials should be stored in a secure location (locked file cabinet, etc.)
