The City of Wenatchee intends to adopt amendments to Titles 10 Zoning, 11 Subdivisions, and 12 Environmental Protection. The amendments include the following:
- Wenatchee City Code (WCC) Chapter 10.08 Definitions and 10.10 District use chart related to artisan/makers spaces and storage uses in the North Wenatchee Business District;
- WCC Chapter 10.48 regarding commercial fence standards and artisan/makers spaces;
- WCC Chapter 11.20 relating to subdivision design standards that would provide for alternative street design where flexibility would be beneficial while complying with sound engineering principles; and
- WCC Chapter 12.04.030 Categorical exemptions
The amendments were sent to the Washington State Department of Commerce, with a request for expedited review, as required by RCW 36.70A.106. The comment period began on February 7, 2018 and if expedited review if granted, concludes on February 21, 2018. The City of Wenatchee has issued a determination of non-significance (DNS) in compliance with RCW 43.21C.
The City of Wenatchee Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on February 21, 2018 at 5:30 PM in the Council Chambers of Wenatchee City Hall, 129 South Chelan Avenue, Wenatchee to consider the proposed amendments.
The Wenatchee City Council will hold a public hearing on March 8, 2018 at 5:15 PM in the Council Chambers of Wenatchee City Hall, 129 South Chelan Avenue, Wenatchee to consider the proposed amendments.
