The City of Wenatchee formed an Affordable Housing Task Force to guide the exploration of potential programs and strategies to preserve and create affordable housing for all residents of our community. The Task Force consisted of community stakeholders, including private and public developers, citizen advocates, landlords, public representatives, and lenders.
Task Force Mission:
To provide the Mayor and City Council with guidance regarding policies for the development and preservation of affordable housing, beginning with the strategies identified in the Affordable Housing Action Plan memo dated July 14, 2008.

On October 14, 2010 the City Council passed Resolution 2010-52 adopting the Affordable Housing Task Force recommendations as a guide for future City policies for the development and preservation of affordable housing.
