Signs for businesses and institutions across Wenatchee are an important asset for their success. The City has initiated a project to craft a new sign code to reflect evolving community priorities, new technologies, and best practices in design and legal protection of free speech.

The new sign code will strive to:

  • Be more user-friendly for businesses, sign-makers, residents, and city staff
  • Improve the attractiveness and readability of business signs
  • Pay special attention to the historic context of Downtown Wenatchee
  • Improve the appearance of neighborhoods

Makers Architecture and Urban Design was selected as the consultant for the project.
