Who needs a business license?
Anyone engaging in business activities within the Wenatchee City limits is required to obtain a Wenatchee business license, whether or not a place of business is maintained within the City limits. Some exceptions apply to certain businesses as provided in WCC Section 5.76.090.
The City of Wenatchee has transitioned our business licensing services over to Washington State Department of Revenue. Beginning October 3, 2019, the City will no longer administer business license applications. After a two week transition period, the Department of Revenue Business Licensing Service (BLS) will begin accepting applications and renewals on October 17, 2019. Please go to BLS.DOR.WA.gov to apply for or renew a City of Wenatchee business license. City licenses will appear as an endorsement on your State Business License. A SAW (Secure Access Washington) account will be needed to access this State website.
For further assistance, please call the BLS at 1-800-451-7985
For more information about this transition, please see the City's Notice to Business Owners.
