Recruitment and selection for the City of Wenatchee Police Department is conducted according to Civil Service Rules & Regulations (see PDF 1 MB). The Civil Service System implemented by these rules substantially accomplishes the purpose of Chapter 41.12 of the RCW. Pursuant to state law RCW 41.04/005 and RCW 41.04.010 special credit will be added to passing scores of qualified veterans on open examinations, when applicable.
The Civil Service Commission is responsible for the creation and execution of the testing process and will certify the final eligibility list for civil service positions within the City of Wenatchee.
