A message from the Chief:

Chief CrownOn behalf of Wenatchee Police Department, welcome to your police department’s webpage. This site was designed to provide Wenatchee residents and visitors with important information concerning your police department and public safety in our community. We invite you to learn more about the services we provide, but more importantly we hope to achieve improved communication between the department and the citizens we serve. In the coming months, we fully intend to harness the creative energy of our talented staff to provide you with real-time updates on exceptional police work, community events, department successes, and other public safety related topics.

It is with immense pride that I serve as a member of the law enforcement community and profession, especially here with the Wenatchee Police Department. I started right here in 1991 as a patrol officer, later holding positions in the proactive unit, detectives, as a field training officer, bicycle patrol instructor and as a marksman/observer on the rifle team. Between 2002 and 2016, I served in various law enforcement capacities with the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife Police. In 2013, I was appointed as Chief of the Fish and Wildlife Police.

I consider it a tremendous privilege and honor to have been appointed as your Police Chief in June of 2016. The City’s public safety needs are being met by an impressive and talented group of men and women. Their dedication to customer service is exemplary. It is my primary objective to build upon the successes of this professional and progressive police department by ensuring that your police department has the necessary resources, skills and abilities that are second to none.

The Wenatchee Police Department is committed to promoting a safe community and quality of life through protection and service. We know that this mission cannot be fully realized without building strong partnerships and seeking public input from people who live, work, and play here along with community groups while also working together with other public safety organizations in the Greater Wenatchee Valley. Simply put, we cannot provide top rated police services without you!

We thank you for visiting this our site and hope you find information that is useful.
