1301 Western Avenue Safety Improvements 

Added curb, gutter, sidewalk and bike lane to the northbound leg of No. 2 Canyon Road from Skyline Drive to Cherry Street. Added a roundabout at Western Avenue & Cherry Street for improved safety and traffic flow. Added a traffic signal at Western Avenue & Maple Street. Upgraded and added ADA ramps and crosswalks at affected road crossings. Added storm drain system and repaired canyon drain infrastructure.

1502 Safety Improvement Project & Phase 4 of 1230 SR 285 Safety Improvements

Improved the safety and accessibility to several pedestrian crossings across Mission and Chelan streets by adding one or more of the following: pedestrian push button pedestals, rectangular rapid flash beacons, and curb bulb outs to shorten crossing distances and exposure. Combined the safety improvement project with the fourth phase of the 1230 SR 285 Safety improvement project and added a high-intensity activated crosswalk beacon to a high pedestrian traffic crossing of Mission Street.

1502 Safety Improvements

1314 Okanogan & Red Apple Road Sidewalk 

 Installed curb, gutter, & sidewalk along the west side of Okanogan Avenue and the south side of Red Apple Road. Installed crosswalks and signing on Red Apple Road, and improved the intersection of Okanogan and Red Apple Road including the return radius, sight distance, and signage. Upgrade school zone signage on Okanogan Avenue and Red Apple Road to include flashers and vehicle speed feedback signs.

1303 Mission & Miller Intersection 

Reconfigured the splitter island to accommodate the turning movements of large trucks on the established truck routes and maximize lane efficiency. Relocated and upgraded all signal equipment and poles. Improved pedestrian safety in the intersection by upgrading pedestrian push buttons and signals to audible type. Replaced and upgraded all curb ramps with ADA compliant ramps. Reconfigured crosswalks to shorten crossing distances to improve safety. Upgraded old signage to current size and reflectivity standards.
